Budget & Finance Department

The Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools Budget and Finance Department is responsible for managing the operational expenditures that occur in the district each year. These funds are spent in more than 80,000 separate transactions that include everything from payroll checks to purchase orders. 

The department's documentation of their efforts - the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)- annually receives awards from both the National Association of School Business Officers and the Government Finance Officers Association.
