Digital Citizenship

In accordance to the Board Policy 3225/4312/7320Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools provides digital citizenship lessons through collaborations between Classroom Teachers, Librarians and Instructional Technology Facilitators using the Common Sense Media Digital Citizenship curriculum and lessons, Brainpop, Netsmartz, and additional resources developed at each school. 

All students must be trained about appropriate online behavior. Such training must cover topics such as cyberbullying awareness and response, and interacting with others on social networking websites and in chat rooms. All students and employees must be informed annually of the requirements of this policy and the methods by which they may obtain a copy of this policy. Failure to adhere to these requirements will result in disciplinary action in accordance to the Student Code of Conduct.
