  • Check here for important notifications and deadlines from the Gifted Education program.
  • AIG Nominations and Identification for students currently enrolled in CHCCS
    Nominations for gifted services are due by December 20, 2016 to the school Gifted Education Specialist. Assessments will begin in February. The aptitude assessment will be the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) and the achievement assessment will be the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS).

  • LEAP Parent Information Session 2016

    The Chapel Hill-Carrboro City school district offers a self-contained program, Learning Environment for Advanced Programming (LEAP), for highly gifted students in grades 4-8.  A district-wide information session will be held in the Smith Middle School auditorium on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 (was Dec. 13th), from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Parents who wish to nominate their child for LEAP consideration are strongly encouraged to attend.
