First Time Access:

To prepare  your computer for access to the school network, please choose the correct web browser from the list below. Note PC and Mac versions.

 
PC Web Browser - Internet Explorer or AOL Users

Before you can connect your computer will need a special plug in.  If your computer uses one of the following operating systems (Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP) and you are using either Internet Explorer or American Online Click to download the plug in..

PC Web Browser - Netscape Navigator

Before you can connect  you must first download the Netscape plug-in. Click to download the Netscape plug-in. Once you download and install the Netscape plug-in, restart Netscape and go to the logon screen. Click on your school logo to log into the school network. This is a one time requirement. The next time you need to connect just click on the school logo on the logon page.


MAC users - Internet Explorer

Before you can connect with your MAC you must first download a plug-in. Click to download the plug-in. After the download completes double click on the file and install the software. After you install the software, follow these directions:

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tool bar at the top, Select Edit menu, choose Preferences.
3. Under Receiving Files, click on File Helpers.
4. Click the Add button. Enter the following information:

Description: Citrix ICA Connection
Extension: .ica
MIME Type: application/x-ica

5. Under File Type, click the Browse button and browse the Mac hard drive for the Citrix ICA Connection Center.
6. Under File Creator, change ICAE to IICA.
7. Change the File Type to TEXT.
8. Under the Encoding section, ensure that


Plain Text is selected
Binary data is not selected
Macintosh file is unchecked
Use for incoming is checked
Use for outgoing is unchecked

9. Under Handling, select View with application from the drop-down list. In some cases Post Process with Application may be selected. Browse for the Citrix ICA Connection Center binary.
10. Select OK until all changes are applied

Close your browser and return to the CHCCS Connect to School web page and choose Logon.


Mac Users - Netscape Navigator


Before you can connect with your MAC you must first download a plug-in. Click to download the plug-in. After the download completes double click on the file and install the software. After you install the software, follow these directions;

Requirements

Netscape Browser 4.0 and higher

1. Start Netscape Navigator.

2. From the toolbar at the top, select Edit > Preferences. Under Navigator, select Applications.

3. Click the New Type button.

4. In the Description field, type ICA file.

5. In the MIME type field, type application/x-ica.

6. If there is a Suffixes field, type .ica

7. If there is a File field, type .ica

8. In the Handled by section, choose Application, and (browse to where you installed the Citrix Software), select Citrix ICA Connection Center, click Open.

9. Click OK.

10. Click OK.

11. Close your browser and return to the CHCCS Connect 2 School web page and choose Logon.

12. From the Logon Screen choose the logo associated with your School or Building. If prompted to either pick an application or save file, choose save to desktop.

13. Double click downloaded file.
