This WebQuest is meant to be a culminating project for the end of fifth grade. Prior to beginning the project, students should have completed studies in the regions of the United States, geology and landforms, and weather.
Social studies texts differ slightly in the ways that they divide the United States into different regions. Usually, there are four to five continental regions, and Hawaii and Alaska. We based the number of roles and the number of groups on a class of 28 with seven regions.
