Summer Camp For Elementary Students

Summer Camp Registration & Information 

Registration begins on January 25, 2017.  Forms are processed in the order received until the programs reach capacity. Wait lists are formed as necessary. The combined brochure and registration form below includes information on summer camp themes, field trips, meals, and more.

Fees (per student) Summer 2017

$40 registration fee
$60 deposit for each week requested (credited toward total fees)
$180 per week 

Fees include lunch, two snacks, and activity costs.

Summer Camp Operating Information 

CHCCS Summer Camp is a licensed school-age care program featuring a variety of recreational and enrichment activities.

Program Locations 
Summer Camp locations vary from year to year, based on elementary school facility availability.

2017 Summer Camp Locations, Hours, Schedule 
Sites: Estes Hills Elementary, McDougle Elementary and Northside Elementary
Hours: 7:45 a.m. - 5:45 p.m. 
Ratios: 1 staff person for up to 16 children
Dates: Six one-week sessions:

June 19-June 23
June 26-30
July 3-July 7*
July 10-July 14
July 17-July 21
July 24-July 28

*Closed Tuesday, July 4

Lunch/Snacks
Lunch and two snacks are provided daily through the school district's Child Nutrition Program.

Transportation 
Parents must transport children to and from camp each day. Transportation for field trips is by activity bus and is coordinated through the school district's Transportation Department.

Summer Youth Enrichment Programs

Elementary and Middle School students will receive a hard copy of the 2017 Summer Youth Enrichment brochure before the registration date of February 28.

Summer Youth Enrichment features a variety of enrichment courses for students in grades K-12. Course topics include arts, crafts, drama, creative writing, cooking, technology, science, music, physical education/sports. Instructors are CHCCS employees and other community professionals offering courses in their areas of expertise.

Summer Youth Enrichment courses for 2017 will be available June 19 to July 28. Courses are offered in one to three-week sessions. Fees vary by course. Classes meet Monday through Friday for approximately three hours per day.
